ALUMINIUM BLOCK
A.P.O x Svd x Il·lacionsThe project was born from the collaboration between A.P.O. and Sivasdescalzo to create a new concept for their store on Calle Churruca in Madrid.
A series of exhibition elements were created by adding and multiplying standard structural assembly profiles and making them into prisms.
This adding on process turns a standard element into a unique and different piece. The dense and baroque surface created by the profile cuts, contrasts with the clean and linear sides. The result is a forceful piece that transforms a mundane building material into a sophisticated and contradictory prism.
These unique and numbered pieces are now featured in a collection presented by Il·lacions Gallery.

“Aluminum block 001.01.40.MC01” is a blue anodized aluminum prism measuring 480x280x450mm.

REFLEKTOR
A.P.O Floor lamp that reinterprets a polished aluminium reflector, once commonly used in technical office lighting. Removed from its original function, the element becomes both functional and expressive—multiplying ambient reflections even when switched off. A minimal stainless steel frame supports it with precision, while its exposed rear reveals the raw beauty of industrial components. The piece reflects the studio’s approach: direct forms, familiar materials, and a focus on how context, proportion, and light can subtly transform perception.
